Big, of course, is a relative term. In this show all the works are what one would call “big” by the standards of the medium used. That is: what makes a big drawing or photo, say four by six feet, would not necessarily be viewed as large if it were a painting of the same dimensions. So, for this show, let’s say a small drawing is easily carried in one hand, a medium-size piece takes two hands, and a big drawing, four hands to carry. This is a four-handed show. “Big” though, in itself, is not a virtue. “Big” gets your attention; however, the works must deliver the goods on the aesthetic and expressive level too. In this show, they do.
Large drawings and photographs by David Bailin, Domenic Cretara, Dianne Kornberg, Carolyn Krieg, Tim Lowly, Linda Thomas, and Susan Wides will be included.
